About
Users can have low confidence in services designed to protect their personal information. As online services are not designed to build confidence, users are dependent on offline techniques instead.
This study presents some solutions to eliminate a poor pattern of privacy protection practice, which can have devastating consequences for public service delivery, and concludes with examples of social computing used to help build service user confidence.
