Online privacy and consent:
A dialogue, not a monologue
About
With the move to deliver services online, there is a reduction in opportunities for a service user to negotiate the terms of the management of their personal data.
This paper forms the initial part of a study to learn more about the types of privacy dialogue that should be deployed in online services and are preferable to service users and providers. We explore why a sociotechnical approach should form the basis of the design and implementation of any dialogue system.
