About
This paper examines trust and online safety practices in relation to information behaviours when using social media by staging an encounter between grandmothers and granddaughters and interrogating their discussions.
The analysis reveals the importance of trust practices, shows the tension between inward-looking and outward-looking behaviour, and how different perspectives on trust influence how communities work to protect members and police alternative uses of Facebook.
